Congratulations to Daicen Membrane Systems Ltd. on a successful exhibition of fine bubble diffusers and aeration systems at the 2011 Tokyo Sewage Exhibition! The show ran through July 29, 2011. Mr. Hidenori Ishihara of Daicen delivered a technical presentation of SSI diffusers at the exhibition.

Thank you to Ameren Missouri for appointing SSI to the Trade Ally Program. Now Ameren clients in Missouri who wish to purchase SSI aeration systems are eligible for energy efficiency grants.
SSI has also been involved with Wisconsin Focus on Energy and we look forward to cooperating with more states and utilities.
SSI thanks FinePeak of Cairo, Egypt for their recent order of an SSI fine bubble aeration system for Mubarak City for Science and Technology. Business has commenced in Egypt once again after the 25 January revolution, and the project is expected to proceed smoothly. This project is expected to ship this spring and consists of AFTS3100 Snappy Saddle tube diffusers with PTFE coated EPDM membranes.
We thank KeppelSeghers and the City of AinBeida for the award to produce the fine bubble aeration system for this important Algerian city east of Algiers and near the Tunisian border. The project consists of SSI fine bubble disc diffusers mounted on a stainless steel piping grid. This will be SSI’s third major project in Algeria.
Thanks to SETE Energy Saudia Ltd, division of Latsis Group, Marafiq, the client, and Jacobs Engineers for honoring SSI with the orders to produce aeration systems for these two prestigious projects. Shipments and oxygen transfer testing have taken place and installation will commence shortly. We will post photos as the job progresses and is commissioned. The project consists of more than twenty thousand SSI AFD350 fEPDM fluorinated fine bubble disc diffusers installed on polypropylene headers.
Saudi Archirodon has handed over the Jeddah Sea Water Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Project to the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC). This project incorporated thousands of SSI tube diffusers with 2mm slits. Special components were utilized in the system and the diffusers to avoid decomposition due to salt water. This was SSI’s first large scale Seawater FGD installation and it has been a success. It required a great deal of engineering and planning, as the system should run 7 years without maintenance in seawater.
