We are pleased to announce that the installation of SSI fine bubble PTFE disc diffusers is underway at the City of Ft. Worth, Texas. This is a part of a contract with Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) to last through 2011 to outfit all of the aeration tanks at the Village Creek WWTP in Ft. Worth with a modern aeration system. Ceramic domes installed in the 1980s are being removed. SSI is proud to be associated with JCI and the City of Ft. Worth on this project.

The City of Port Huron, Michigan has installed SSI PTFE disc diffusers in their third and final basin, completing the aeration work at this plant. Below are some photos of the newest part of their SSI fine bubble aeration system.

Thanks to the dedicated staff at Orchids Paper for an outstanding installation of an SSI Aeration system featuring PTFE coated disc diffusers. SSI supplied blowers with the aeration system as a package.

SSI’s long standing Brazilian representative, EnvironQuip Ltd. of Curitiba, has successfully started up a retrievable aeration system at Corn Products in Brazil using SSI PTFE coated tube membrane diffusers. The SSI Snappy Saddle model fine bubble tube diffuser used here has been widely implemented in sewage treatment plants and industrial wastewater treatment plants worldwide. Congratulations EnvironQuip!

Congratulations to John Truitt and Andrew Conner on a successful WEA show. Their company, H & T Systems, was awarded one of SSI’s coveted “Top 3″ representative awards this year for their outstanding work representing SSI’s fine bubble and coarse bubble diffusers and aeration systems.

SSI participated at WEFTEC 2010 in New Orleans, displaying fine bubble diffusers, coarse bubble diffusers and complete aeration systems. The new Relia-Bill TM coarse bubble diffuser was on display for the first time and our new aeration catalog was previewed. Long time SSI client Otterbine will be featured on the hit ABC TV show Extreme Makeover on Oct. 24 at 8pm EST. They have donated two of their high efficiency pond aeration systems, one of which features fine bubble disc diffusers. Here is a sneak peak….
